Appointment Scheduling

Same day appointments are available for urgent matters. Please call our front desk in regards to urgent/same day concerns.

No-Shows and Late Cancellations

A minimum of 24 hours’ advance notice is required for cancelling an appointment. A fee may be charged otherwise.

After Hours Care and Walk-In Clinics

Please avoid walk-in clinics when possible. We do our absolute best to see you for same-day appointments. If you are “enrolled” with a physician at the clinic, any use of walk-in clinics will result in a financial penalty to us. If you feel the need to visit a walk-in clinic on a regular basis, please let us know so that we may make accommodations.

Uninsured Services

As The Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) pays for most of your medical visits here at the office. Due to the financial state of our health care system, some medical procedures and most administrative practices are not insured by OHIP. Since these services require significant time and resources for us to administer, the Ontario Medical Association recommends standardized fees for providing these services.

Examples of Uninsured Services Include:

  • Prescription Renewals without office Visits (Note: Renewals during office visits are covered by OHIP and thus no charge)
  • Sick Notes
  • Hand Warts
  • TB skin tests
  • Chart Transfers
  • Missed Appointments
  • Travel Advice / Travel Medicine
  • Telephone prescription renewals
  • Insurance Forms
  • Referral Letters

(please consult the office for up-to-date fee amounts for each service)

You  may choose to pay these fees on an as needed basis or you may opt for the annual fee option*. For those who wish to pay for individual services, an invoice will be sent out at the time the service is provided. If you are financially unable to pay for a service, you may request a fee exemption. We recognize there are special circumstances. Should you have any questions about non-OHIP-covered services, please feel free to discuss them with us personally.

*Annual fees for coverage period of 12 months (start/end date varies by physician):

  • $170 – for an individual
  • $270 – for a couple or family (including children up to 25 yrs of age living at home)
